Tomorrow I will be starting a blog trip in my home city of Edinburgh for Hogmanay (New Year’s Eve) brought together by Event Scotland, Visit Scotland, Edinburgh Tourism Action Group, Festivals Edinburgh, Haggis Adventures, and SkyScanner!

Hogmanay is the BEST time of year to be in Edinburgh (second only possibly to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August.) Myself and 20 other bloggers from all around the world are therefore honoured to have been invited to the first blog trip of it’s kind in Edinburgh for Hogmanay

‘Blogmanay’ as we are calling it, will see 21 bloggers (including myself) taking party in a 12 day itinerary that includes taking part in Edinburgh’s torchlight procession, press passes to the official Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party & Concert in the Gardens, Dogmanay, and the crazy Loony Dook in South Queensferrry (where we have to run into the freezing cold Scottish waters at the beach!!!)

That’s not all – Haggis Adventures will be hosting us for 3 days in a special trip up to the Scottish Highlands followed by 2 nights in the beautiful St Andrews (hosted by Visit St Andrews), and then 2 nights at the Alexander House Hotel in Gleneagles!

The crazy things is that all that I’ve mentioned above is only half of what we’re doing during Blogmanay! There is lots more to the intinerary and that I’ll be posting about on here during and after the trip!

Anyway, inspired by my upcoming trip (in my home country for a change! yay!) I thought I would use my local knowledge to create a video (which you can see below) that gives you my top tips on spending Hogmanay in Edinburgh. This includes where to party before, during, and after the bells! It contains all my local knowledge based on many Hogmanay’s spent in the Scottish capital. I hope you find it useful!

For more information on Hogmanay or Blogmanay you can visit the official Edinburgh’s Hogmanay website – http://www.edinburghshogmanay.com/.

This campaign is brought to you by Edinburgh’s Hogmanay and is supported by Visit Scotland, ETAG, Edinburgh Festivals, Haggis Adventures and Skyscanner.

The campaign bloggers were sourced and managed by iambassador. As always, opinions are my own.
